New York, NY. July 11, 2011 -
The New York eHealth Collaborative (NYeC) has teamed up with CureMD, the leading provider of SMART Cloud EMR, Practice Management, Patient Portal and Revenue Cycle Automation as a partner to promote EMR adoption across the Empire State.
NYeC serves as the federally designated Health IT Regional Extension Center (REC) for the State of New York, while CureMD’s usability driven solutions are accredited by CCHIT and ONC for providing advanced functionality, security and interoperability.
“Healthcare providers, commercial vendors, the New York eHealth Collaborative and public health are all marching towards a common goal – the Meaningful Use of electronic health records,” said Paul Wilder, NYeC’s Director of Health IT Adoption. “CureMD demonstrated a strong commitment to New York State providers in its application for our Meaningful Use Partner program and we are thrilled to now have them on board. Partnering with CureMD enables us to synchronize efforts and combine our resources to better serve providers on their journey to Meaningful Use.”
CureMD CIO Bill Hashmat said, “This is a great opportunity for New Yorkers to benefit from CureMD’s F@ST TRACK implementation program for efficient and cost effective implementations that start the day our customers sign up. Our new SAS 70 certified data center, six sigma certified processes and fifteen years of experience in delivering Software as Service technology is the key to our success.”
Regional extension center evaluations are based on factors including company history, financial stability, experience, market penetration, solution capabilities, marketing, sales and implementation capabilities, industry partnerships, client satisfaction, MU Strategy and compliance, HIE, and Interoperability.
Regional Extension Centers are funded by the Federal Department of Health and Human Services’ Office of the National Coordinator. Regional Extension Centers offer health care providers a local resource for technical assistance, guidance, consulting, education and information in support of acquiring electronic health records and accelerating the process by which health care providers become meaningful users of EHRs.
