Puerto Rico Regional Extension Center selects CureMD
PUERTO RICO, February 1, 2011 - The Ponce School of Medicine Health Information Technology Regional Extension Center (PSM REC) today announced its selection of CureMD as a certified EHR vendor.
“We are very pleased to offer the physicians of Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands high quality certified EHR products which will give them a true advantage in the process of adopting and becoming meaningful users of electronic health records,” said Antonio Fernández, Executive Director, PSM REC.
The PSM REC began the process of soliciting possible vendors in May, 2010 through an open and public solicitation process performed by an independent party with no ties to any vendor. The rigorous selection process included numerous stages based on functionality, pricing and competitive terms in order to ensure that selected vendor can assist physician practices become meaningful users.

The Ponce School of Medicine Health Information Technology Regional Extension Center (PSM REC) is funded by the Federal Department of Health and Human Services’ Office of the National Coordinator. Regional Extension Centers offer health care providers a local resource for technical assistance, guidance, consulting, education and information in support of acquiring electronic health records and accelerating the process by which health care providers become meaningful users of EHRs. |
