CureMD Partners with Leading Interventional Cardiology Group to Create a Paperless Practice

CureMD announced that Interventional Heart Group (IHG), the leading interventional cardiology practice of New York, has selected CureMD’s CCHIT certified EMR, practice management system (PRS) and CureBilling (medical billing service) to streamline workflows, optimize operational efficiency and accelerate adoption of evidence-based clinical practice protocols.

When Interventional Heart Group (IHG) started looking for a health information management solution, information availability and workflow were of core importance. IHG is based at two different locations and all the communication from scheduling to confirming, check in to check out and laboratory reporting to referral was done via fax. IHG also had a whole library of patient charts that occupied a lot of space and required new hires every six to eight months for management. This not only created several bottlenecks, but also created potential for human error as doctors had to rely on paper based information. Administrative and financial overheads were also a great hindrance.
