CureMD Presented to the Society of Teachers of FMR Convention

New York, NY - CureMD was featured at this year’s Northeast Regional Convention of the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine (STFM), held in Ryebrook NY.

In his presentation on “Improving the Use of Technology at the Point of Care” Dr. Douglas J. Reich, Director of the Family Practice Residency Program at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center in New York presented CureMD’s practice resource system as the model for applied clinical technology. Dr. Reich emphasized on the health care provider’s struggle to improve quality in the face of increasing economic and regulatory pressures. He declared that technology like CureMD's can reduce costs while improving quality by leveraging next generation internet enabled functionality.

The CureMD System was recognized by Dr. Reich as having advanced capabilities for more focused physician training. The CureMD Electronic Medical Record (EMR) includes prompts for documentation as well as tools for clinical calculations, which help physicians in training during care. This allows physicians to more closely and carefully manage the training cycle. The EMR system also facilitates cross patient studies as well as comparisons of treatments and resident physicians’ clinical performance.
