CureMD VP Development Wins NCR IT Award and Gold Medal Islamabad, Pakistan - Dr Atta ur Rehman, Minister of Science and Technology inaugurated the 2nd NCR National IT Excellence Awards 2000 at the Convention Center in Islamabad on saturday. Dr Atta appreciated the initiative of recognizing achievements of IT professionals of the country at the private sector level and expressed the hope for the continuity of such positive trends.
The awards were announced for six different categories and two time periods to those who have contributed in efforts for the promotion of information technology in the country. Bilal Hashmat won the software development category for 1997-2000 while the award for 1987-1995 period went to Talat Mehboob Butt.
The networking awards were won by Shaikh Adil Gul (1997-2000) and Jalil A Mughal (1987-1995). The software export award for the 1997-2000 period was claimed by Humayun Mazhar, of Cresoft. IT Educationalist award for 1997-2000 was bagged by Dr Arshad Ali Shahid and for the 1987-1995 period, Masud Ahmed Malik and Javed Hanif Agha were declared winners.
The IT pioneer (1987-2000) award went to Dr Attamash Kamal and for the previous period, Masood Ahmed Malik, Dr Junaid Zaidi and Abdul Ghaffar Memon were declared joint winners. Muhammad Sher pocketed the IT research and development award for 1987-2000.
